GUN DOG

This program is 5 months and includes complete obedience training, gunfire sensitivity, water intro, bird intro, fur intro, force fetch (table & cable), retrieving work in the field and water. Field and water work includes singles, doubles, diversions, drags, marks, blinds, and live duck searches. Dogs will be introduced and worked from boats, kayaks, and mutt huts. Dogs are trained in line with the JGHV testing system which relies heavily on use of nose and work of the dog after the shot. No game should be lost! Therefore dogs must be reliable retrievers regardless of the type of game or where it may be found. Certain portions of this program are also available (steadiness, breaking on retrieve, force fetch, etc). These are addressed and scheduled on a case-by-case basis. All feed and training game are included in training cost. We feed Black Gold 26-18, Inukshuk 32-32, and Inukshuk 30-25.
